Join ceramic artist Pascale Wilson for the day and create your own slab-built lamp base with colourful slip decoration.

In the morning, you’ll choose from a number of designs, using templates to cut out slabs of clay to build your lamp form. We will cover the fundamental techniques used when hand-building in clay, and you’ll be guided through the build process.

In the afternoon, you’ll learn how to use coloured slips to decorate your piece. We will cover sgraffito techniques which allow for the creation of block colour and pattern, through to detailed illustration.
